Okay, I'm jealous. You live in paradise.
Unfortunately, it's true. It's cold in the frozen north. Minneapolis is not Fairbanks but it was close what with it reaching -22, -22, and -18 last week.
Still, without four seasons there would be no Homey; there would be no Snowball's Chance in Hell; there would be no commute home via Brownie, Cedar, Canal, Isles, Lagoon, and Calhoun. There would be no Stupor Bowl.
The riding in MPLS has been outstanding this winter. You need a taste.
The Stupor Bowl is less than two weeks away. Seems like there has been a sponsorship SNAFU but all would be forgiven if you flew here and rode. Have J-Mac tag along. I'll loan him my Gunnar again.
I shoveled four inches of snow Sunday morning. I shoveled four more Sunday afternoon. Then, I shoveled four more Monday morning. The plows are turning what is a soupy mess at noontime, into a pimply mass of ice by the side of the road. The tire spray is icey and full of sand and salt.
I don't mind cold. Really. I don't care if it's 15 when I leave the house.
But this snow has to stop.
I spent the afternoon in the workshop building up a new cross frame, a weapon against the slush and shit.

Do you even know what winter is? There is no such thing as "winter" on the centeral coast, just cold summer or summer-lite.
I hate you...
