The sad part is the Republicans have created the Chinese/Russian style communist state we have, then blame it on the Democrats. They setup pseudo socialism through the military. Sure there are 20,000 job openings in California, but they're all civilian military positions. So if you're not willing to join a fake war to kill real people, or to spy on your neighbors you're SOL.
