Back to Main

Blistering solos and some other stuff.

It sounded so much better live.

Now Heres a bit of kindof bummer info from Manwipe. Youbetcha- theyre called 'outlaw' races for a reason.

In fact Tauna sent the following shot proving that theres already some training for next years 14th season going on.

Now for a few more thoughts on Vegas... Personally Ive spent the last couple of days trying to get my feet under me again after the big show. Ive worked damn near 12 of them in various capacities and I swear they never get easier.
One of my favorite memories was the first year it was in Vegas after its departure from Anaheim and Berg, Robert Ives and I all drove the Ventana Mountain Bikes trailer out and spent the first night sleeping on top of it in Blue Diamond at the site of the old dirt demo. Well the mosquitos were coming on a bit strong come dusk and being without any form of repellant, we had to improvise with our own 13-hours-in-an-un-air conditioned-van musk, stale beer, and a bottle of cologne we found under one of the seats. It did the trick, but we were barely able to stand ourselves through the process.
The following day in the sweltering heat of set-up in the convention center, Bob Roll approached us and I jokingly asked him if he was looking for trouble. He took a labored breath and gagged, "if I was looking for trouble, Id say I found it", thereby cementing what Robert later commented as his cycling careers crowning achievement.

Now heres another one from Jeremy. I realize you cant see the broken skin or the bruised finger nail, but trust me, its there.

CO had this one waiting in our inbox upon our return.
First the scraper bikes video, and now this. Ill take a rhyme about a bike any day of the week over the same old "I got a Benzo, and a fat stack of endz so.." shlock thats rampant in hip hop any day.

Bettini dont need no dope. Hes riding with The Dark Lord.

Patrick sent some words of insight about their recent 'Moustache Ride'.

"Thanks for the putting out the word for the moustache ride. Much appreciated! Here's my report:
Despite a dust storm and the threat of rain (in the fucking desert, no less), twenty odd people showed up in support of facial hair. Clearly, it was the largest pro-stache demonstration in Tempe this year.

Bars were hopped. Tim, the blue jerseyed man of the hour (and the face on our flyer), was revered for being one of the few able to grow such an awesome stache. Many men and women had to use prosthetics. We hit four bars in 5 hours before ending up at k.c. moore's and dispersing into the throng of drunkards. Overall, the Car Resistance Action Party has declared the ride a success, and we're looking forward to planning more events outside of our weekly get together."

Photographic proof of the train wreck can be found right here, though my personal favorite is this guy;

Its like looking into a damn mirror.

So no doubt you all remember the video we posted of the group of young men having their way with the poor, innocent ottoman a month or so ago right?
Well although that freaked us right the hell out, it kinda pales in comparison to this nightmare that Michael sent to us.

Whooooowhoooo! Here comes the art that doesnt suck train, and its right on time.

And finally, take a look at this;
